How do i deal with a viagrasubject message found in my spam folder that is allegedly from me?

Moira

I don't want to block my own address. I don't know who else this may have been sent to under my name and how to warn them not to open it. How do I keep it from happening again?

Clarine

It is not hard and is in fact common practice for spammers to make an email appear to be from the accounts that they are sending spam to. First off never open SPAM. Secondly, you can report spam to the FTC by forwarding the spam with all headers to: spam@uce. gov Note that they will know that you did not send the spam. Finally you can often filter your messages using key words like Viagra etc. as an alternative of email addresses. I hope that you find this helpful. Have entertainment! It factori! delete the email. run anti-virus on your whole computer and your email account.

Chelsie

Change your yahoo password. Some A**hole is hacking Yahoo addresses and sending these.

Ronni

Sounds like your E-mail account has been compromised, or you picked up a virus, Steven. Immediately have your computer checked for a 'bug' or 'bugs.' If you have the proper programs, do the scans yourself, if not you need to take your computer to some one who can. Once it is clean of pests, install a firewall and an anti-virus program if you do not have one yet. I strongly recommend a program for malware and adware also. After you finish this, then go in and change your password, using a good strong one. Also, check your account information and make sure no information was changed, if it was change it back immediately. Then, you will have to inform your contacts that it was not you sending that mail, but they need to check their computers in case they were also infected.

Wendy

What's UP with that?

Annamarie

i got that from my uncle once but he didn't send it, never happened again, email all your friends immediately & tell them not to click no links..& mark the pharmacy as a spam

Priscila

First - scan your PC for a virus, or spyware. Then, change your mail password (and security questions too)After this - it should no longer happen.
