Male Underwear, Briefs And Boxers At Austins-uk.com

Today, fashion as much as comfort affects our choice of male underwear. We not only want to feel comfortable, we want to look our best. In addition to these considerations we require support for our workouts and sporting activities. There is a lot of choice out there, from Dad’s long johns to the latest animal print thongs. How do they size up? Well it depends on what you need.

Needless to say, most of us fall somewhere between the long john and thong sets. Most of us have several different kinds of underwear – pairs of boxers, briefs, perhaps something a little more daring…? – in our drawer.

Aside from thongs there are three basic types of underwear men can choose from: briefs, boxer shorts and “tight boxers”, which are briefs with extra material covering the upper thighs. According to a recent male underwear survey 54% of men prefer briefs, 22% prefer tight boxers, and 24% prefer roomy boxers. This survey seems to clarify that men do express a preference and know what they like.

Briefs are practical and more comfortable than loose boxer shorts. They offer the best support and are therefore good for training, or when your circumstances require sitting-down for long periods. If you site in front of a computer all day, boxers will be less comfortable, as they tend to “ride up” throughout the entire day. The same goes for guys who are into sport; you can’t imagine playing rugby, jogging or even sitting on the rowing machine in the gym wearing anything but a good pair of briefs.
